Care Confidence - Are you or someone you know starting to organise self-funded social care?

Last updated:
Care Confidence is a decision support tool that has been designed to help older people in England feel better prepared to make decisions about paying for social care. The tool has been created by researchers at the University of York, the University of Birmingham and the University of Manchester and is funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research.

We are looking for people to test out Care Confidence, provide feedback via our two minute survey and chat to a researcher for approximately 30 minutes about their experience of using the tool.

What can Care Confidence do for you?

  • Help you learn about the different types of care available and the options for paying for care.
  • Help you feel confident enough to discuss support with family and friends or seek professional guidance.
  • Allow you to create your own action plan.
Making decisions about social care in later life can be complex and emotional. If you are ready to feel more care confident, visit the Care Confidence website.

If you would like to find out more about the project or ask any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch. Thank you!
