York International Women's Week 2026
York International Women's Week 2026
Last updated:
We invite you to a week of exhibitions, films, talks, workshops, dancing, tea & chats – and much more. Over 60 events, most in step-free venues, many free, some fundraising, a few online. Enjoy creating your personal YIWW programme as you weave through the week’s events!
Our hope is that YIWW, alongside thousands of other IWD activities, is part of a multitude of women’s voices, weaving together across cultures and nations and inspiring us all to keep on working towards a peaceful and caring world for all.
At the core of York International Women’s Week is a commitment to the human rights and dignity of all. As we launch our 2026 Programme we are all too aware that we are living in a troubled world and facing divisions and tensions within our own city. We are powerfully reminded of the importance of mutual respect for all, and of the networks of local groups and individuals who work relentlessly, in many different ways, to foster meaningful supportive connections for all.
