At Whitby Dene we provide the following;
• Dementia care
• Residential care
• Respite care

We offer residential and respite care for older people, including individuals with Alzheimer's and other types of dementia. We also provide sensitive and supportive end of life care.

Our Activity Based Care approach supports residents to maintain important daily living skills. Some residents enjoy helping out at the nearby allotments, while others have a great time making cakes and other treats as part of our baking club. Residents have a say in all aspects of daily life and decision making in the home.

We offer residents lots of choice when it comes to activities, with six activities every day, Monday to Friday. Regular activities include gardening, gentle exercise, knitting, karaoke, bingo, puzzles, arts and crafts, and performances by entertainers. One group of actors brings the West End to residents with special shows.

A GP comes to Whitby Dene twice a week and we will happily arrange any healthcare appointments that residents need. A hairdresser visits once a week and she also comes on special occasions like residents' birthdays. And we have our own library, where the reading club meets regularly.

Once a month we hold a church service at the home. A member of the Roman Catholic church comes to give Holy Communion and we can organise visits from other faiths. We also mark events such as Remembrance Sunday.
