Description

All the care that we provide in our residential homes is delivered in a person-centred way. We recognise that everybody is an individual and has their own requirements.

Dementia Care
All of our staff are skilled in dementia care and we have undertaken additional training to enable us to provide more sophisticated services.

We were invited by East Riding of Yorkshire Council to join a course presented by Bradford University entitled “An introduction to person-centred care for people living with dementia.” This enabled us to enhance the care that we provide for our residents and their families and to improve our staff training programme.

We have been trained by renowned dementia specialist Libby Lawrence and we have also undergone dementia mapping training which is recognised by the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence.

End of Life Care
Our dedication to supporting the families and friends of our residents is particularly important when it comes to advance care planning. We undergo specialist training with Dove House Hospice and we encourage end of life planning to ensure the wishes of our residents and their loved ones of all cultures and religions are respected. The many testimonials which we receive from relatives who have lost a loved one are highly valued. It means a lot to us and our team when we are told that we have brought happiness to our residents in their final days and also provided comfort and confidence to bereaved relatives.

Day Care
Our day care service offers all the quality and convenience of a day care centre, a break from the general routine and an opportunity to enjoy the social interaction that people can’t always get at home. Day visitors to our care homes can use all the facilities and services. They can enjoy a shower or a full bath, with a pedicure and manicure if they want. They also join our other residents for meals and for entertainment and activities. The day care service is increasingly popular, meeting physical and psychological needs as visitors combat loneliness by enjoying one-to-one conversations. Have you ever been told you were the first person someone has spoken to that day?

Over 65 Care
One of our core activities is the provision of person-centred care services for the older generation. Often this is provided on a residential basis but we also welcome people for short term and respite care and for day visits to enjoy our facilities and surroundings and to socialise with our other residents.

Respite Care
Our respite care is particularly helpful for people who are looking after a relative in their home. Our short term care is available for people who might need assistance with rehabilitation for a temporary medical condition, and also for people who live independently in their own home but who need a break from looking after themselves. Their stay with us could be for a few days or weeks, or as brief as one day.

Pricing Details
Our rooms range from £500.00 to £850.00 (per week depending on size of room, views, needs of resident, etc).
