Far too often we take for granted the option to get up and go somewhere, whether by choice or by need, there is a vast amount of people who are unable to do this with assistance and support. Chestnut Homecare are very perceptive to this and arrange our services in a way that maximises and retains a persons choice and control.

We listed to the people needing support and use person-centered thinking and planning. We put the person fist and have a Can DO attitude.

Accompanied Outings/Holidays
This service is offered to anyone over the age of 18. If a person wishes to go away for a few days/weeks but are unable to do so without assistance, Chestnut Homecare could provide care staff with varying skills to accompany the person. It may also be that accompaniment is only require for 1 hour only. Our aim is to assist and support a person to enable them to live a life with quality.

Chestnut Homecare Provide a service that promotes choice, positive risk taking, dignity, respect and assists the person to maintain control. It may be the person requires accompanying for an appointment, to go shopping, a visit to the gym, day out, or maybe just to spend time with a person in their own garden or allotment. The list is endless and the amount so support/assistance is variable.

Whatever the level of need or timescale of accompaniment required, Chestnut Homecare endeavours to provide an appropriate carer with necessary skills and competencies. If there are specialised skills, experiences or competencies identified, for example: Epilepsy, Diabetes, Autism, Dementia or Multiple Sclerosis, we will ensure that training and competency is met before agreement to accompany a person.
