Community Food Help
Use the Live Well York directory to find your nearest Community Food Project, where you can access free or affordable food and support.
The individual projects are listed here 'Community Food Help'.
If your food project is not in the directory, if your project’s details have changed, or you have any other issues relating to the directory please email susan.wood@york.gov.uk
The Good Place Network
The Good Place Network aims to bring together the previous Community Venues Network with community hubs and food projects to share best practice, network and discuss the pertinent issues facing community venues and projects.
Meetings take place quarterly and are hosted by one of York’s community food projects, including a showcase of their project and a Q&A.
Our September 2022 meeting was hosted by Haxby Food Share and included discussions on topics such as how the cost of living crisis is affecting community projects and energy prices for community spaces.
If you’d like to join the Good Place Network please get in touch via email to: mora.scaife@york.gov.uk
