Nominate VCSE organisations to receive a certificate of thanks from the Lord Mayor

Last updated:

We need your help to shine a spotlight on those voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector groups and organisations who went above and beyond during the pandemic to support our communities across York.

We’re asking you to nominate VCSE organisations, groups and charities, to receive a certificate of thanks from the Lord Mayor of York. Nominations are now open and will close on Sunday 10 April.

A panel will shortlist the nominations and a representative from the shortlisted groups/organisations will be invited to join the Lord Mayor of York at a gala dinner in May, where they will receive their certificate of thanks for their contributions.

Alison Semmence, Chief Executive, York CVS commented:

“We’re so proud of York’s VCSE Sector and of the role we played during the lockdowns and throughout the pandemic. As a sector we’ve worked together, going above and beyond, to ensure the most vulnerable people in our communities are supported. This is a fantastic way of saying thank you and recognising what an amazing and resilient VCSE sector our city has”.

Submit your nomination.

Please read the criteria below and get in touch with us via anna.boad@yorkcvs.org.uk if you have any questions about the process. Please contact Anna Boad on 01904 621133 to submit your application in an alternative format.
