Get ready for Safeguarding Week 2022

Last updated:

After the success of last year’s virtual conference, North Yorkshire Police have once again teamed up with our safeguarding partners across the region (North Yorkshire, the City of York and the East Riding of Yorkshire) to take part in this year’s Safeguarding Week 20 – 24 June.

Developed for both professional and public audiences, the online programme of seminars offers a packed schedule of over 50 sessions across the week, which will each be delivered by inspirational and motivational speakers, all of whom are experts in their field.

The programme of events will be delivered virtually allowing attendees to fit the sessions into their working day or evening activities.

Some of the sessions are only open to safeguarding professionals due to the sensitivity of the content. The professional sessions have been designed to stimulate discussion, share best practice, spark innovation and support continuing professional development.

The sessions designed for the public will raise awareness of key issues and provide insight into how every member of the public can safeguard themselves, their families and support the wider community.

Please take the time to review the programme of activities and sign up for any that are of interest to you. Please feel free to share the programme with family and friends, there really is something that will be of benefit to them – from sessions for young people, to staying safe on-line, fraud and cyber awareness, recognising the signs of radicalisation, etc.

To register for any of the events listed, please visit our Eventbrite page.
