Last updated:

Hepatitis C trust is partnering with NHS Teaching Hospitals, Changing Lives and Spectrum CIC to roll out 2 weeks of finger prick testing in York.

When: 18th - 29th July

With a main base at York Drug And Alcohol Service on 3 Blossom Street at YO24 1AU.

The Hepatitus C Trust volunteers will also be visiting various places in the community to reach those who are most at risk.
We want to encourage everyone and anyone who may be at risk to get tested.

You may be at risk if:

  • You had a blood transfusion before 1992
  • You have a prison tattoo
  • You've shared syringes, spoons, water, filters, vials or snorting equipment
  • You've had medical or dental procedures abroad
  • You have engaged in other risky sexual behaviours (ask staff for more information)

Hepatitis C is a blood born virus which can be transmitted in numerous ways. Hepatitis C affects your liver and left untreated can lead to liver cancer. The good news is that there is a simple and effective cure.
