Our choir rehearses every Monday evening from 7.30-9 p.m. We currently meet in the Reading Rooms in Dunnington. The address is Church St, Dunnington YO19 5PW
We aren't a church choir and never have been, but we started with a small group of singers from Dunnington Methodist church over 20 years ago. Over the years we have been involved in church services, celebrating important dates in the church calendar.
We sing a variety of songs from well-loved tunes, to traditional and folk styles from all around the world, as well as songs from the musicals and some more serious numbers. We welcome new members (especially male voices) and all are welcome, whether you have a history of singing with choirs or not. The ability to read music is helpful but not essential.
We are led by Vanessa Lee, who has been our musical director from the start.
