Free sporting fun at Community Stadium this weekend

Ahead of the England vs Italy Women’s six nations game on Sunday, the LNER Community Stadium will be hosting the fan zone takeover from 12.00-2.00pm, with both match goers and non-match goers alike welcome to try their hand at rugby and join the fun.

Venue: York Stadium Leisure Complex 3G pitches

Timings: 12-2pm

General activity plan:

Pitch 1 - Kick Run Pass Challenge (Children & Young People focus)
Pitch 2 - T1 Rugby Practical Session
Pitch 3 - Walking T1 Rugby

Volunteer support (organisational, coaching, etc) is being provided by- 

White Rose Rugby (6-12, Rugby United), City of York Council, York RUFC Women, York RI Women, North Yorkshire Sport, University of York Women’s Rugby, Rugby Activator from the University of York.
