Planet Southbank Foraging Walk

Meet at the first (and only) bench on the cycle path just past where the car boot sale is held. The cycle path starts off Bishopthorpe Road about 200 meters past the Chocolate Works on the same side of the street.

We will be walking from the cycle path at the racecourse to Knavesmire wood.

Some of the walk is not on tarmac paths and some of the plants we may be looking at may be a bit off the path. However please do inform York Cares if you have any accessibility needs and we will try facilitate these.This foragaing walk is run in conjunction with York Cares  https://www.yorkcares.co.uk/

Places are limited to 25 people so that everyone has the opportunity to hear Carl and join in with the discussions.

The walk will be about one and a half hours and we will finish at the Holiday Inn on Cherry Lane where you are welcome to join us for a drink.

Tickets are entirely free, though please choose a ticket with a donation to cover Planet South Bank if you can, to reflect the value of the walk to you. We invite you not to choose a free place unless of course a donation is beyond what you can afford.

Dogs welcome; no age restriction - children welcome. Please bear in mind that we will be walking off-path.

Carl says: "As the seasons change, so do the plants and those that are available to eat, so having the opportunity to walk through the seasons is a great way to get closer to nature."
