Tea and Coffee Club

What we provide

We run weekly tea and coffee sessions at the University of York on Mondays 11-12:30 during term time. Students from the university and local elderly residents meet in The Lounge in James College (next to the student union) for a chat and to have a hot drink and some biscuits, maybe even a board game!

We provide this service for free and work with Streamline to provide free transportation for our elderly members as well. The club is mainly for elderly people who live in and around York - those who live on their own, would like the company or just fancy a chat! We are aiming to combat loneliness and build intergenerational connections so we always welcome new members!
