Ecotherapy at St Nicks

Ecotherapy at St Nicks

Ecotherapy promotes mental and physical wellbeing through outdoor activity in the natural environment. At St Nicks we offer Ecotherapy groups including Conservation, Gardening, Discovering Nature, Art, Creative Writing, Eco Book Club & Woodwork.

Groups are nature-centred and occur both at our 24-acre Nature Reserve and along York's green corridors. All of the activities are led by qualified and experienced tutors and are free to participants. Ecotherapy members also have access to one-to-one mentor support alongside the group programme. You can get in touch to find out about vacancies, or talk to your GP about social prescriptions.

This winter, we have received funding to operate as a Warm Space and our participants will also have the chance to spend time socialising and relaxing in a warm environment.

To find out more and to download an enrolment form, visit our website. Some of our groups are full but to join a group or a waiting list please complete an enrolment form

If you would like to find out more or arrange an informal chat before enrolling on any of the groups, contact us via ecotherapy@stnicks.org.uk
