Poppleton Community Railway Nursery

We provide social and therapeutic gardening within the old British Railway Nursery. We are a charity run totally by volunteers.

Our aim is to preserve the railway nursery and its narrow gauge railway by growing and selling plants. This involves lots of people in many jobs i.e. sowing, planting, watering plants, marketing and selling and many DIY maintenance jobs. We also run craft activities on site in the colder weather.

When: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 9.30am to 3.30pm

Cost: Membership for a year costs £6 waged and £3 unwaged
