Stitch Away the Stigma Stitching Session

Stitch Away the Stigma

Are you affected by the substance use of a loved one? Come and join me in a supportive group setting and stitch a square that will be added to the ever growing wall hanging.

These sessions will take place on the 16th March & 20th April and they are for those who are supporting a loved one with substance use disorder AND for those who have lost someone through this. You need absolutely no sewing experience, we will go through simple stitching techniques together at the session, it is simply about the mindful process of stitching and getting those thoughts and feelings out of your head.

These 2 sessions will both take place in York at Acomb Garth community centre. A fully accessible space which has parking very close by and also great bus links directly from York train station and city centre.

The sessions are £10 per person to cover the cost of materials and light refreshments will be provided (however if this is really out of your means please get in contact as I don't want anyone to miss out on attending one of these sessions if it's money that is stopping you, I want these to be accessible for everyone). The sessions will run from 1pm-4pm.
