York Recorded Music Society

What we provide

YRMS is a classical music listening/appreciation group. We offer an opportunity for music lovers to listen in a group with other like-minded people.

Programmes are usually presented by members but there are occasional guest speakers. No knowledge of classical music is necessary to enjoy our meetings and there's no requirement to discuss the music but often there will be informal discussion during the refreshment breaks. We're a friendly, welcoming group.

The society is for anyone who enjoys listening to classical music and is interested in learning more about the music or discovering new pieces. Group listening can be a rewarding experience.

Meetings are held monthly on Saturday afternoons starting at 2.00pm and finishing at about 4.30pm.

Membership for the year is £15, Vistor fee per meeting is £4.
