The Conservation Volunteers (TCV)

The Conservation Volunteers (TCV)

TCV enables volunteers of all ages and backgrounds to get involved in practical conservation tasks to improve parks, green spaces, nature reserves and the surrounding countryside for people and for wildlife. Sessions run from 9am to 4pm every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday and on the second and fourth Sundays each month.

Sessions are FREE and no experience is needed. Tasks are fully supervised with first aid cover, tools and equipment provided. Transport from Tang Hall Community Centre is available, along with hot drinks and good company.

TCV also runs volunteer groups in Hull Road Park. The Gardening Group cares for the park and grows food on Thursdays 10am to 1pm. The Woodwork Group shares skills and makes a variety of garden items Thursdays 1.30pm to 3.30pm. Wild Fridays is a family friendly session of activities to improve the park’s wildlife, Fridays 10am to 12.30pm.

Contact us if you would like to come along, or follow facebook.com/TCVYork or facebook.com/HullRoadPark for details of current projects.

Make friends, learn new skills, enjoy the outdoors and do something to help the environment. Join in, feel good!
