Description
Café West is a modern, bustling café set within City of York council's West Offices and run by national charity United Response.
It is designed for people with autisim, learning disabilities, physical disabilities and mental health needs to build confidence, learn independence and develop employability skills in a safe café environment.
You will learn how to use a professional espresso machine, prepare a range of hot and cold meals, use a till and develop good customer service skills.
At Cafe West, we work with each person to set up a support plan which includes learning goals tailored to each individual. Our support workers help every team member to reach their goals, whether that’s learning to cook, making drinks, handling money or becoming more confident. Our aim is to give everyone a route to their own version of independence.
