Specsavers Home Visits
Description
We are Specsavers home visits, and we provide full eye examinations and spectacle dispensing in peoples homes when they are unable to get to store unassisted. This covers a huge spectrum of physical and mental health conditions such as - arthritis, dementia, Parkinson’s, COPD, agoraphobia, anxiety, cancer, paralysis, cerebral palsy, Alzheimer’s, autism, amputee, leg ulcers, heart problems, spinal problems, chronic fatigue, stroke, down’s syndrome, hip replacements, M/S, osteoperosis, learning difficulties (this list is not exhaustive!)
We cover all of York, Harrogate, Ripon areas, and south of York to Riccall area, as well as north Leeds.
If the patient is eligible for a free NHS sight test then the visit is free. NHS tests are available to:
- Over 60’s
- Under 16’s
- JSA / ESA / Universal Credit / Pension Credit / Working Tax Credit / HC2 or HC3 certificates
- Diabetics
- Glaucoma / at risk of glaucoma
- Family History of Glaucoma
If none of these apply then there would be a private sight charge of £65
NHS Spectacle vouchers can be issued under the usual criteria:
JSA / ESA / Universal Credit/ Pension Credit/ Working Tax Credit / HC2 / Under 16’s
In those cases spectacles range from being free of charge upwards depending on frame choice.
So where appropriate NHS entitlement applies, a visit and spectacles can be free of charge to the patient.
Otherwise the usual private charges would apply.
All of this is the same as in store. And all the in store offers (2for1, 25% off for over 60’s etc) apply the same.
