Description
The Peasholme Centre is a supported accommodation centre for 22 people, staffed 24 hours a day and caters for single homeless men and women or couples without children. The centre is a modern building with en-suite facilities in each room and has disabled access. It has group and education rooms, meeting and counseling rooms and an I.T suite, all of which are important to the centre's continuing development. To stay at the centre residents must be willing and able to take part in a planned support program, which is based on their individual needs and aspirations. It ensures that they will be fully supported in their move towards successful independent living. Peasholme offers a comprehensive support package for individuals who are homeless. It offers a structured and stable environment that gives residents the space they need to address the issues that have contributed to their homelessness. Residents take part in a planned program of support that is based on their individual needs. One of its primary aims is to prepare people for more independent, less supported accommodation. The centre plays a crucial role in helping resettle homeless people in the city and helps them to reintegrate themselves back into mainstream society.
