Description
York Mental Health Hub at 30 Clarence Street offers a safe, non-judgemental, and friendly space to over 18’s from within the City of York who feel they may need support to manage their mental health and wellbeing.
A café space is available for refreshments. You may wish to meet other with similar experiences, be listened to or just sit and be in the company of others. There is no obligation to share your story, but we will support you with a listening ear if you wish to do so. This a supportive space, but it is not therapy, although we can offer information and signposting to other relevant services.
Whatever your reason for coming to York Mental Health Hub at 30 Clarence Street, there will always be someone to say hello and to help you find the support you need.
The opening hours of York Mental Health Hub at 30 Clarence Street are currently as follows:
Monday: 10am-4pm
Tuesday: CLOSED (Appointments Only)
Wednesday: 10am-4pm
Thursday: CLOSED (Appointments Only)
Friday: 10am-4pm
(The cafe will be last service at 3.30pm)

Monday
Peasholme Charity Community Appointments & Drop In 10am - 4pm
Financial Capability Coaches offer one-to-one personalised support sessions to anyone over 18 in the York area who is experiencing financial difficulties. We provide benefits advice plus money guidance and help people to access specialist debt advice.
CYC Mental Health Floating Housing Support 12pm - 2pm
The Mental Health Floating Housing Support Service provides flexible, creative, responsive housing and mental health support to adults in the community.
Support with the following:
- Dealing with Anti-social Behaviour
- Claiming the correct benefits
- Accessing training, education and employment
- Social isolation
- Accessing physical or mental health support
Wednesday

CYC Community Facilitator 11:30 - 1:30pm
The Local Area Community Facilitator will be coming to the Hub to answer your queries and help direct you to the support you need regarding the following:
- helping raise awareness of available resources
- providing links to local services
- supporting people with a wide range of issues
- developing resilience and social inclusion in communities
CYC Health Trainers 1pm - 3pm Every 4 Weeks (next drop in 6th August)
If you live in York and are over the age of 16 and want to make a health or lifestyle change, meet with a member of our Health Trainers team.
Health Trainers can support you with:
- Stop Smoking and Vaping
- Drinking Less
- Losing Weight
- Get Active
- Healthy Eating and Lifestyle Advice
St Leonards Bereavement Support - 1:30pm - 3pm (when available)
Supporting those who are experiencing grief by offering a welcoming and safe space where they can share their stories, explore their feelings, and receive understanding. Additionally, helping bereaved individuals identify if they might benefit from further support and guide them toward helpful resources or services.
Up for Yorkshire – Rise 2 Thrive & Trailblazer 12 – 2pm.
Supporting unemployed adults in North Yorkshire and York facing barriers to employment or training. It offers personalized 1-2-1 advice, mentoring, and targeted interventions to overcome barriers, boosting health, confidence, skills, and employability—guiding individuals toward thriving in work and life.
Friday
IDAS Friday 10am - 12pm
We can support you if you need to escape domestic abuse, if you want advice to help you stay safe at home or if you are a victim of sexual violence.
Trained advisors will:
- Listen and support you.
- Help you understand your options.
- Explain your legal rights.
- Talk to the police, social care, and probation.
- Help you get safer housing.
- Support you through court.
- Organise emergency accommodation if you need to escape.
- Arrange interpretation or BSL services if you need this.
Crossroads Adult Diversion Scheme 10am - 12pm
A community-based support service for adults who may be at risk of entering the Criminal Justice System, and a pre-court (OOCD) diversionary support service for adults at point of arrest or voluntary attendance at police custody.
