My name is Jaya and I have been working as a carer since August 2016. Previously, I worked as a Social Worker with children and their families. However, I decided to return to support work as I love supporting people on a one-to-one basis and thoroughly enjoy working with a variety of different and interesting individuals. I have always been extremely passionate about working with people who are in need of care and support, helping them make positive changes in their lives.
Jaya’s Personal Support provides personalised practical help, support and guidance to people who want to live as independently as possible within their own homes. I am a confident and competent individual who is able to provide help and the support with your everyday needs such as, personal care, cleaning, cooking and any other tasks you wish to be helped with.
I have my own car, so I can take you wherever you need to go such as, shopping, health appointments and supporting you with social activities and any hobbies you enjoy. If you would like companionship, I am able to spend time with you during the day, having a chat or even a coffee or going out for a walk together.
I have an enhanced DBS check which allows me to work with children and adults and I am qualified to a high level in health and social care. In addition to this I can provide references from my previous employer and from a family I am currently working with.
My services include;
- Help such as cleaning, shopping, cooking, meal preparation, laundry and light gardening.
- Support with social activities, attending appointments and generally getting out and about.
- Personal care such as toileting, washing, bathing and dressing.
- Pet care, should you need support with your loved pets with walking, feeding and taking to the vets.
- Day and night sitting, including sleep in and waking nights.
I am currently located near Helmsley and cover the Ryedale area however, I am willing to travel to certain areas of York depending on travel time.
