  • a registered national charity providing low-cost, confidential and culturally sensitive mental health and relationship counselling services in five languages to South Asian communities in Britain

AFCS is a registered national charity providing low-cost, confidential and culturally sensitive mental health and relationship counselling services in five languages to South Asian communities in Britain since 1983. We have over three decades of experience in dealing with complex issues such as depression, trauma, forced marriage, abandonment, domestic violence, slavery and asylum.

Our counsellors are BACP-accredited, professionally trained and supervised therapists. They come from Hindu, Muslim and Sikh backgrounds and speak Urdu, Hindi, Gujarati, Punjabi and English thus representing the diversity in the South Asian communities they serve.

AFCS is aimed at all members of South Asian communities above the age of 16. We also see couples where one partner is South Asian.

We are here to help. You are welcome to come on your own or with your partner whatever your marital status or sexual orientation. Referrals can be made directly or by family members, doctors, social workers or solicitors.
