When is the service available? part-time service in weekdays
How much will it cost? free for those eligible

Description

The advice service supports local residents who are either struggling with bills and keeping warm, or considering energy-saving home upgrades. Our aim is to make homes better for both people and planet.

We offer free support on energy issues to anyone in York on a low income, aged 65+, or experiencing a long term health condition or disability. Get in touch with our friendly team for:

  • Advice on managing energy bills
  • Tips on reducing energy use to save money on bills
  • Installation of energy-saving measures (subject to eligibility)
  • Info on other services in York e.g. debt advice, insulation grants and more

We also foster peer networks to share home retrofit experiences and offer paid home energy assessments for those able-to-pay. Visit our website or get in touch to find out more.

York Energy Advice is a project by York Community Energy, funded by the City of York Council and donations.
