Dementia

The City of York dementia strategy, ‘Dementia Together’, was launched in September 2022. The strategy has been shaped by engagement with citizens of York, and those organisations who provide support to people with dementia, their family and, or carers. Here are the achievements and actions from the first year of the strategy

'Dementia Together' highlights the challenges and opportunities for the city in terms of preventing dementia, diagnosing it well, helping people to live and be supported well with the condition, and ultimately supporting people to die well.

At the moment, the strategy is available in full, and as a plan on a page. An easy read format will follow.
